Dealing with human emotions and personal issues, we shot these nudes with all that in mind. Using words in a photograph can be visually tough, as words always compete with the main subject. Here we used the vocabulary of our model to illustrate not only herself, but that of many women her age.
Sitting around the studio, we decide to play with some light and see what we could come up with. Sometimes shooting people you deal with on a daily basis is the hardest to do.
I love to experiment with new lighting or visual techniques with nudes.I personally think it makes it more challenging as you have no clothes to hide any mistakes. Here is a new series of images playing with some side lighting effects.
